All in all, the day was a pretty busy one and I really enjoyed documenting it, mostly by iPhone, and sharing my pictures on social media #1day12pics. Here's what happened...
{9am} Green juice
Starting the day the right way with a kale, apple, lemon, ginger and mint combo.
{10am} Taking the car to get a new tyre fitted
We'd accidentally driven over 200 miles before we realised that one of our run flat tyres had...err...run flat and needed to be replaced!
{11am} Summer plants
We popped into Homebase on the way back from the garage to pick up summer bedding plants for the garden. I was very taken with these purple aquilegias, but I resisted!
{12pm} Clothes Pegs
The day was beautifully sunny in London, ideal for getting the weekend's washing outside and dried the same day ~ always a bonus in my book!
{1pm} Lunch
Fried egg on a wholewheat wrap with hollandaise sauce and spinach
{2pm} Baking
A recipe for date & seed power bars, which I'd been wanting to try for a while (I'll be posting details later this week)
{3pm} Tea & the crossword
I do love the weekend crossword, and the chance to put my feet up after a busy morning was most welcome!
{4pm} Sewing
I'd built up a small pile of mending that needed doing so decided to tackle it
{5pm} Running
On sunny days it's less of a chore to do my local circuit...
{6pm} Refuelling
The aforementioned power bars, now nicely set and ready for sampling. And I didn't stop at one!
{7pm} Dinner
Bowlfuls of just good, healthy stuff
{8pm} Tate Modern
After dinner we headed out to see the Matisse exhibition. We're members of Tate and often go up there late on a Saturday evening at the gallery is open until 10pm. Love that place!
I had great fun with this project and will definitely be up for doing it again. You can see what other bloggers got up to during the challenge here.
