If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that last Saturday was the first #1day12pics of the year and this time round I was in a perfect setting for the challenge! We spent a week in El Penon, in the south of Colombia. Compared to the high altitude of Bogota, this region has a very hot, tropical climate. We spent our days relaxing, swimming, reading and enjoying the company of family.
Here are my pictures from the day:
: Waking up with the light ~ such a treat at this time of year
: Tropical breakfast with papaya, one of my favourite fruits here
: Bouncy castle fun with my nieces ~ they loved it and for some reason I was the person they wanted to play on it with!
: The house we stayed at was full of beautiful touches, like this artisan cushion
: Morning snack of grenadilla, which you may know as passion fruit
: A photographer's paradise for tropical flowers!
: Freshly grated coconut at lunchtime
: Back to the sun bed for more reading & chilling out...
: A late afternoon dip in the pool
:
: The gang ~ these people make me happy!
: The house by night ~ I totally fell in love with the Christmas tree!
So that's how we rolled on Saturday, a gorgeous day. I'll be posted soon with more pictures of the house, which was a dream ~ lots of inspiration gathered there, that's for sure!
