In 2010 I completed a 365 Project with the aim of getting myself out there taking more pictures, broadening my photographic horizons and developing my technical know-how. I think everyone has subjects they love and tend to gravitate towards (mine are flowers & nature) so I used the project as an opportunity to move out of my comfort zone and start finding and 'seeing' new things to shoot, especially in urban settings.
You can see my work from this and read what I've learnt and my top tips here.

I took a photowalk in my local area with the aim of documenting the 10th day of the 10th month of the 10th year of this century. The weather was glorious so I was able to capture some beautiful autumn colours. Quite a few people on Flickr did the same project. Check out my set here.
Door Knockers of Cartagena
At the end of 2010, we visited the Colonial walled city of Cartagena in Colombia. The huge number of ornate door knockers really made an impression on me and led to this mini-project.
50 photos with a 50mm lens on the 50th day of the year (19th Feb 2011). A set of shots from the morning, afternoon and evening of one day.
fatmumslim sets a monthly challenge from her pad down under. I follow quite a few bloggers in Australia and from time to time like to get involved myself: February 2012 Photo-a-day Challenge
Shell Jar Project
I'm passionate about the seaside and love beachcombing for shells. In 2012 I finally put together a number of smaller collection in one jar. Here's how I did it.
Last year I became more interested in minimalism and ways of simplifying my life. I redesigned the look of the blog to reflect this, and posted a series of photos symbolising the colour white.
